Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from this website (the “Site”). We refer to this information as “Purchase Information”. When we talk about “Your Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Browsing Information and Purchase Information. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION? Additionally, we use this Purchase Information to: – Communicate with you; – Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and – When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. We use the Browsing Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). This Privacy Policy describes how IQ AutoPro LLC ("IQ AutoPro," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the IQ AutoPro website (iqautopro.com) and mobile application (collectively, the "Service").

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and any name or profile information you provide.

Vehicle and diagnostic information: To provide guided diagnoses, we collect information you enter about your vehicle (such as make, model, year, VIN, and OBD2 trouble codes) and the details of your diagnostic conversations with the app.

Usage information: We collect information about how you use the Service, such as which features you use, how many guided diagnoses you've used, and general device/browser information.

Payment information: If you subscribe or make a purchase, payment is handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe (for website purchases) — IQ AutoPro does not receive or store your full payment card details.

COOKIES, LOCAL STORAGE, AND ANALYTICS

IQ AutoPro's website does not use cookies for tracking, and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking technology of any kind. When you sign in on the website, your session is kept using your browser's local storage rather than a cookie — this stays on your own device and is used only to keep you signed in.

We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how the App and website are used — for example, which features are used, where users encounter usage limits, and whether our trial and subscription flows are working as intended. This is limited to tracking specific actions you take in the App or on the website (such as starting a diagnosis or viewing a subscription plan); we do not record video or screenshots of your sessions, and this data is not sold or shared with advertisers. Analytics data is associated with your account so we can understand usage patterns, but is used for product improvement, not marketing to you individually.

If you make a purchase on the website, you will be redirected to a secure checkout page hosted by our payment processor, Stripe, at checkout.stripe.com. Stripe may set its own cookies on that page for payment processing and fraud prevention; those cookies are set and controlled by Stripe, not by IQ AutoPro, and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, not this one.

If our use of analytics or tracking technology changes in the future — for example, if we add advertising, session recording, or cross-site tracking — we will update this Privacy Policy to describe that before it's used.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the Service, process guided diagnoses, manage your account and subscription, communicate with you (such as transactional emails about your account or purchases), and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including hosting providers, AI and speech-to-text service providers, subscription and payment management providers (RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Stripe), and analytics providers (PostHog). These vendors are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us, under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your account and diagnostic information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

YOUR CHOICES

You may update your account information within the app, or contact us at [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
